Because recovery is training.

About

JF Bodywork

Jamie uses movement assessments to identify imbalances and establish better movement habits for your body, while hands-on manual therapy and massage calm the nervous system, allowing the body to recognize and integrate the changes that occur.

The goal is to help your body feel more coordinated and supported, reducing unnecessary tension, while handling gravity more efficiently.

“I am passionate about optimizing the human form for life, competition, and to have better alignment using massage and bodywork.

Motion is lotion. Let’s keep you moving!” -Jamie

  • She collaborates with your medical/health practitioners to ensure that you are getting the appropriate and best treatment possible #dreamteam.

JF Bodywork believes…

  • The site of pain is often not the cause of the pain.

  • A restriction in one area can translate through the rest of the body, producing compression, lack of function, or pain in another area.

  • When the body is balanced, movement becomes effortless, allowing for natural rotation and trigger points to disappear.

  • Improve range of motion by improving joint function, posture, and tissue quality with massage and bodywork.

  • Muscle imbalances and trigger points happen when an injury occurs, long hours in static positions (e.g. sitting at a desk for multiple hours), or repetitive movements (think assembly line workers). The result is fascia becomes rigid, stiff, and tight either to protect an injury area or from tissue dehydration.
